Colour Mill Oil Booster (Flo‑Coat) – 100ml
Colour Mill Oil Booster is a powerful tool for getting the best results when using gel or paste colours in oil-based recipes. It’s not a colouring itself, instead, it helps other colourings blend into fats by acting as an emulsifier, it bridges the gap between water and oil, so your colour mixes in smoothly instead of splitting or going grainy.
It’s especially helpful for tricky mediums like white chocolate, Swiss meringue buttercream, candy melts, ganache and glossy drips. Booster also improves pigment payoff, so you can achieve deeper shades with less product. For many bakers, it’s the missing link between the colours they already own and the results they’ve been trying to achieve.
Key Features
- Oil-based colour enhancer for gel and paste pigments
- Helps colour blend into butter, chocolate and other fat-rich mixes
- Improves consistency and vibrancy of colour
- Bottle size: 100ml
- Made in Australia
Ingredients
Glycerol (E422) and Lecithin (E322)
Hints and Tips
If you’re colouring white chocolate, stir your gel colour into the Booster first, then mix it into the melted chocolate. This makes the colour easier to distribute and avoids clumping or grainy texture.
For deeper shades, let the mix sit for a few hours after colouring. Colours often settle and intensify over time, especially in butter-based mixes. Always shake the bottle before use, and pierce the foil gently with a clean toothpick or the bottle cap point to keep the flow controlled.
If your colours still look uneven, let your mix rest before stirring again, this helps them stabilise.
How to Use
Shake well before use. Add one drop at a time, stir thoroughly, then add gel colour a little at a time. Clean the nozzle after each use and reseal the lid tightly. Booster is extremely concentrated so a little goes a long way. Store upright in a cool, dry place.
Please Note
Booster is not a colouring on its own. It is designed to help gel and paste colours perform better in oil-based mixtures. If you’re unsure whether it’s needed, consider using it any time your colour is struggling to blend into chocolate, oil, fat or butter-rich recipes.
